Who is B.A.M. Program? The B.A.M.(Building Adolescent Minds) program focuses on creating real life solutions and scenarios to help youth tackle modern day risks/obstacles and become successful with each new experience.Our goal is to create a stimulation of interest of a career choice in each student therefore allowing more long-term production.
What We Do?
Building Adolescent Minds has created a career readiness initiative called Maximum Xposure. Our Maximum Xposure career readiness program consist of two components. One area focuses on finding strengths, overcoming character and environmental challenges, and building healthy relationship skills that comes from our self esteem curriculum. The second phase involves hands-on career tour of companies giving youth exposure to career exploration, career development, professionalism, & financial literacy.
Why?
According to Youthtruthsurvey.org 55% of students do not feel positive about their college or career readiness. Taking a step up from solely being a positive influence to decrease that percentage requires that we must provide a way for our youth to have those hands on experiences. We feel it is vital to prepare our youth for the career of their choice.
When?
The duration of our program is one full academic school year as it allows us to track progressions of each student by the activities in our curriculum and the amount of students that pass our career knowledge exiting test based on the exposure from the career travel tours.
